Ray Allen sends Game 6 to overtime with a three

The Miami Heat took advantage of Ray Allen's miracle corner three-pointer at the end of regulation and used the overtime frame to lock down the San Antonio Spurs and extend the NBA Finals to a Game 7 with a 103-100 win on Tuesday night at American Airlines Arena.

Allen's three-pointer came with five seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. After a LeBron James miss, Chris Bosh grabbed an offensive rebound and found Allen, who hit the step-back three in the right corner to tie the score with five seconds left.

The Heat were actually down five, but James hit a clutch thee-pointer with 20 seconds remaining to keep the Heat's hope alive and pull within two after they secured an offensive rebound from his first attempt from deep that missed badly. Kawhi Leonard missed a free throw to open the door for Allen.

Overtime came down to the final play as well. Down one, the Spurs had a chance to take the lead again. Manu Ginobili appeared to get hit as he drove the lane in the final seconds and turned the ball over before Allen sank two free throws to extend the lead to three points with 1.9 seconds remaining. On the next play, Danny Green launched a desperation three-pointer that Chris Bosh blocked to secure the win.

The Spurs were in position to win in regulation after Parker hit an incredible step-back three-pointer with James draped all over him to tie the game just past the one-minute mark. On the next play, Parker stole the ball before hitting a runner in the lane to give the Spurs a two-point lead with under a minute remaining.

The Spurs dominated through three quarters and had command of the game, leading by 10 points after the third quarter. But James, who struggled mightily in the first three quarters, took over in the fourth. He led from the front on offense and defense, serving as the catalyst for easy looks for his teammates. Miami went on a 20-7 run to take a three-point lead with five and a half minutes remaining.
