Derrick Rose Injury: Updates on Chicago Bulls Star's Knee Injury
Derrick Rose scored 23 points in the Chicago Bulls' Game 1 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday afternoon, but the knee injury he suffered toward the end of the game is the real story for Chicago going forward.
According to the Chicago Bulls, Rose has torn the ACL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the 2012 NBA playoffs.
Chicago played well this season without Rose, but the playoffs are a different animal. Getting to the NBA Finals without their star point guard will be an incredibly difficult challenge for the Bulls.
Here is the video of the injury.

The reigning league MVP went up for a jump shot and came down on his left knee awkwardly, and he needed two people to help him off the court.

Rose has been plagued with injuries this season and was only able to play in 39 games for the Bulls.

Rose played 37 minutes in Game 1 and led the Bulls in scoring. It was an encouraging performance for someone who has missed a lot of the season because of nagging injuries.
